For the last 30 plus years, we have lived by the Boy Scout motto of "Be Prepared". This was echoed in over 20 years of Military experience in the U.S. Army and Army National Guard and an Infantry soldier through Senior NCO. This experience was essential to making it through, not only some very harsh experiences during my time in the Army, but also a number of events as a husband and father of five in the civilian world. I brought this experience to our local community and contribute to our town through our Emergency Response Team. During my work with our team and reaching out to the public, I was both amazed and inspired at the people and the interest they expressed in learning more. During that time, I spent countless hours speaking with people about their needs, answering questions they had, and wishing I had more time to help them help themselves. That was the inspiration for what is now "Are You Prepared?".
Are You Prepared was founded in August of 2019, and went online in 2020 It is an extension of the public service work, with an emphasis on helping people help themselves and their community. Our community.
